Description
Provides training and technical assistance to improve behavioral health services and systems for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. Supports behavioral health professionals in their efforts to provide high quality, culturally responsive care to AI/AN individuals and families, and seeks to enhance behavioral healthcare and wellness in tribal communities through policy and infrastructure advocacy.
What This Program Offers
The American Indian and Alaska Native Behavioral Health Center of Excellence can provide:
- Individualized remote or on-site technical assistance for organizations in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:
- Program evaluation
- Grant writing and grant management
- Policy development and reform
- Inclusive hiring practices
- Reducing or addressing burnout
- Staff diversity
- Training opportunities, including webinars, learning series, and community spotlights with successful program models and best practices
- National and regional learning and policy events for AI/AN behavioral health professionals
- Resource library with up-to-date research, best practice guides, organizational assessments and checklists, toolkits, and more
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
Behavioral health providers and organizations serving American Indian and Alaska Native populations are eligible to participate.
