Description
Provides free training, education, and technical assistance to increase access for communities to evidence-based practices for opioid use disorder (OUD) prevention, treatment, and recovery services. Connects community members with local consultants and technology specialists who are qualified to implement evidence-based practices.
What This Program Offers
Services include free training, education, and technical assistance offered by local experts, including:
- Community trainings on OUD prevention, treatment, and recovery
- Training for health professionals in evidence-based clinical practices to create effective treatment models for patients and health systems
- Training for justice, corrections, and law enforcement on evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery practices focusing on OUD and stimulant use
- Educational materials to help communities address stigma related to substance use disorder (SUD)
- Community trainings on the necessary components of building local coalitions to address opioid and stimulant use in a community
- Guidance for implementing different treatment modalities
Who Can Receive Services from This Program
All communities, individuals, organizations, healthcare systems, clinics, states, and State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis (Opioid STR) grantees are eligible to request technical assistance.
